Welcome

O day and night, but this is wondrous strange!
William Shakespeare
Humanity always gravitates towards the unknown, be it the old house that’s been abandoned just a little too long, the story of what happened when someone went just too close to the standing stones, or the whispers of how the world began. It’s our nature to make sense of the world, but even when science has shown us answers, the fragments of the past still call to us.
In our footprints, we see our natures, our fears, our hopes. In some ways, you could call our folklore, legends and myths to be our DNA. They’re often the first stories we learned, and even now, so long after they were first told, we adapt them and look at them and remember them over and over again. Even now, in a world where we know so much, we remember our stories, and we tell new ones.
Let’s look at these stories, legend, myth, and folklore, and see just what they have to tell us. Let’s look at the stories of the paranormal, the legends and myths of the past, and the whispers of new stories, not just to weigh out their validity, but also to understand why these stories stay with us, and what they really say about us, our fears, our wishes and our values.
Be they in our articles, stories or meeting with our members to find ghosts or discuss the meaning behind some of the most famous stories and holidays, we will pull back the veil that hides the truth and examine the wondrously strange world around us.
